Romanogli eyed

Everton are said to be plotting a January move for AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli.

The 26-year-old is out of contract next summer and has refused to pen a new deal at Milan.

It’s undestood that the Blues are trying to capitalise on this situation by tempting the defender with an offer of a Premier League move.

According to CMW, Rafael Benitez wants Romagnoli in January, but is facing competition from Inter Milan and Juventus for his services.

Van de Beek urged to ‘move on’ from United

Former Everton player Don Hutchinson believes Donny van de Beek must think carefully about his futute after failing to engineer a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

The Dutch midfielder was a reported loan target for the Blues towards the end of the widow, though United blocked his exit and urged Van de Beek to fight for his place in the team.

Little has changed for the former Ajax man since the start of the new campaign, with first-team minutes still hard to come by, and Hutchinson has urged the 24-year-old to take action.

“I think if you’re Donny van de Beek now, you’ve got to have the conversation with your agent, who’s then gonna have the conversation with the manager, chief executive because you’ve got a World Cup coming up in 18 months time,” said Hutchison.

“He cannot afford just to be sitting on that bench, playing in the League Cup midweeks and playing odd minutes and getting brought on and getting taken off. If I’m gonna Donny van de Beek I need to move on from Manchester United.”

Diaz deal

Porto reportedly rejected an offor worth £25million plus James Rodriguez for Luis Diaz from Everton this summer.

The Blues were strongly linked with the Brazilian forward in the transfer window, but failed in their efforts to bring him to Goodison Park.

A report by Correio da Manha has explained how the Toffees were willing to pay £25m, plus Rodriguez, but Porto had a change of heart.

Diaz has enjoyed a brilliant start to the new season, iscoring five goals in seven games already.
